Airwolf was the title aircraft from a 1980s TV show of the same name. A modified version of the Bell 222 twin-engined light helicopter, The concept behind Airwolf was a supersonic, armed helicopter that blended in by appearing to be a civilian transport, or "a wolf in sheep's clothing."

Syma has designed the S018 with the Modified Bell 222 Twin engine helicopter in mind and named it after the once popular TV Show.
