The Begin Air is breeze to pilot. A true proportional 4 ch RC Training aircraft, the begin air can teach a novice the piloting skills required to fly a 4 channel plane with virtually no construction or tools required.
Experience the feel of of the ailerons, rudder, elevator and proportional throttle control from a 2500 foot range with the FM 2 stick radio control. Capable of doing loops , rolls, hammerheads, inverted flight, and more, the begin air will teach the novice control surface applicaton with ease.
A 480 High Torque Motor and 50 amp speed control powers the Begin Air through the sky at speeds up to 50MPH. Not bad for a beginner aircraft! The high speed actually improves learning, ensuring the plane gets good “climb out angle” and response aerobatic flight control.
Of course, crashes to happen from time to time, particularly in the beginning when learning to fly. That's why the designers at ParkFlyers constructed a virtually unbreakable polypropylene fuselage, with the motor strategically placed at the r/c planes rear, minimizing any damage from impact.
The Begin Air can be assembled in 15 minutes from the time it arrives at your doorstep. No tools are required to get the rc plane flying, and the tail section is attached by 2 thumb screws. All the electronics (motor, speed control, servos, receiver) come pre-installed from the factory.
The included high powered 8 cell 9.6 volt 1000 mah Nickel Metal Hydride batteries allow for a super long 7-12 minutes of flight time with enough power to spare.
A 3 hour A/C wall charger is included with every kit!
8 AA batteries for transmitter are not included.
What Do These Features Mean?
Radio: Trim tabs are the fine tuning dials on your transmitter that allow for precision control and maneuvering.
Battery: Although a step below Li-Poly, NiMH batteries are considered superior to NiCD as they are 3-4 more powerful and don't have to be completely discharged before you charging them up again. NiCD are also considered toxic as they are made from Cadmium
Motor: the 480 7.2 volt offers the highest thrust in the “480” class and is a perfect fit for a 23 oz plane.
These are collectively known as control surfaces, these are the same as those found on real airplanes and control the RC model in exactly the same way.
Electronic Speed Controls or ESCs, plug directly into your aircraft's receiver throttle slot as opposed to linking to a servo. ESCs allow the maximum voltage through depending on on the throttle stick position. The micro-processor in an ESC opens and closes tens of times a second to let the current pass, creating a much more efficient speed control than older mechanical versions.
